Meditation is a great way to release stress and tension, and help you to let go of negative thoughts and emotions, while charging your body with new energy. Meditation has been proven to lower blood pressure and reduce the production of stress hormones (adrenaline, nor adrenaline and cortisol).
Doing a gratitude exercise every morning when you wake up, or before you go to sleep, will help shift your mindset and make you much more aware of all the positive things you have in your life. You may think you do not have enough or have the things you really want. Wanting something greater is fine, but you should always be grateful for the things you already have.
Go outside and be mindful to your beautiful surroundings. Take your family with you, or go alone, and give yourself the time to really experience the nature in a way you never do, when you are passing through on autopilot on your day-to-day life. Go to a peaceful location such as the park, the beach, or the forest, and sit down and simply observe.
